WHY I’M RUNNING
Las Vegas families are struggling. The current system is broken with outdated approaches that leave our community feeling unsafe, higher costs, and a city government disconnected from its people.
As a judge, I have seen the painful consequences firsthand: people are often overlooked, and everyday citizens bear the cost. You deserve a system that works with you. Community issues require community solutions.
I am running for City Council to bring common sense, accountability, and real solutions back to our community. I offer a proven commitment to service as a mother, wife, attorney, caregiver, educator, Scout leader and dedicated community volunteer.
I would be honored to earn your vote.

SHANNON NORDSTROM: COMPASSIONATE, STRONG, HEARTFELT SERVICE. GET THE SOLUTIONS YOU DESERVE.
Shannon has spent her career connecting clients with solutions to their issues and looks forward to bringing her problem-solving and leadership skills, with merit-based informed decisions, to the City Council for the benefit of Ward 2 and our Community.
Since April 2025, she has been on a listening tour, meeting with residents, business owners, and community leaders, learning about the issues that matter most.
From the large variety of issues that have been discussed, the top three issues conveyed to her so far are (1) Public Safety, which includes making sure our first responders are funded and have what they need to do their jobs, along with other public safety issues that vary from neighborhood to neighborhood; (2) the planning and permitting process; and (3) keeping Las Vegas a business-friendly environment.
Shannon pledges to work on these issues and more as your next Councilwoman.
Our campaign has strong support as Shannon brings a rare combination of legal expertise, community service, and lived experience that directly aligns with the core responsibilities of a Las Vegas City Councilperson.
